You can leave from any airport with prior eAIPS filing AND the copy of the emailed "OK to leave" from Customs. On return you MUST land at the first Customs airport closest to your crossing the southern border of the US to clear Customs. Then go to your home airport. SAVE, print and BRING with you all the responses and papers required. Keep them in the airplane till you get home again.
I can't stress enough, LEARN how to use eAPIS so you don't get into trouble with Customs. Join AOPA for the info if you have to. AOPA has the easiest tutorial on how to do it.
